The Christian Council, the largest religious federation in the country [Bahamas], expressed its rejection of government's attempt to make it illegal for a husband to force sex on his wife on Thursday, after the Catholic Archdiocese, the Bahamas Conference of the Methodist Church and the Seventh-Day Adventist Church had already expressed their support for government's proposal.[1]
